Aaron Fuller is the former executive chef at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s exclusive Florida retreat. No matter what your political view you are certain to cast your vote in favor of Chef Fuller’s new venture, Aaron’s Table, which he opened last September in the vibrant Abacoa section of Jupiter, Florida, close to the campus of Florida Atlantic University.
Any restaurant that has “Wine Bar” attached to the name has a lot to live up to. Aaron’s does so with flying colors. The décor can best be described as “funky but comfortable” in fitting with the throwback architecture of the neighborhood. If you prefer your dining al fresco, there is a small outdoor sidewalk patio shaded by the always lovely palm trees lining the picturesque Floridian streetscape.
Arriving with a small group on a Wednesday evening, we were seated quickly and relaxed with pre-dinner cocktails. The menu relies heavily on local farm-raised entrees, and varies with the season. I enjoyed a bacon appetizer, which was served hanging from clothespins, something truly unique in my dining experience. I followed that up with perfectly prepared filet sliders, giving the entire meal a real Florida vibe.
The wine pairings were faultlessly selected, and the service from seating to espresso was impeccable, yet relaxed. Everybody in the party raved about their food, wine and how much fun they had.
Aaron’s table is open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner, but also offers Sunday brunch (which I am betting is an experience in itself). Well worth the trip up A1A to Jupiter.
