Deborah Katz Solomon is an executive coach who specializes in business development, leadership and management coaching for lawyers in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Solomon works with attorneys at all levels of experience and her coaching practice is international in scope.

Prior to becoming an executive coach, Ms. Solomon practiced law with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in New York and Washington, D.C., where her practice focused on antitrust and class action litigation.

Ms. Solomon has been featured as a speaker for AmLaw 100 law firms, the National Bar Association, and Yale Law School, and she has been published in the ABA’s Law Practice Magazine.

Ms. Solomon received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School, where she was Student Writing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and the winner of the King & Spalding Moot Court competition. She graduated from Georgetown University’s certificate program in Leadership Coaching and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.

Victoria has over 25 years of experience helping professionals grow their practices.  She has worked with law firms of all sizes and coached lawyers at all stages of their careers, from associates to practice group leaders and managing partners. Prior to joining Law Practice Consultants, she was the Director of Marketing and then CMO at Ropes & Gray LLP. She also held the senior marketing position at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, where she introduced business development training, client interviews and cross-selling initiatives.

Before entering legal marketing, Victoria worked with the Strayer Consulting Group, coaching executives in a wide range of industries including technology, media, private equity and not-for-profit. She further honed her marketing, business development, and coaching skills at the international consulting firm, Arthur D. Little. As Vice President of Corporate and International Marketing, Victoria played a key role in bridging practices, lines of business, and geographies to grow global client relationships. 

Victoria earned her BA degree from Wells College and her master’s degree from Smith College.
