Uncomfortable with selling yourself? Then sell your partners!

Everyone knows that it’s important to have the ability to sell yourself daily. Be it during a job interview, on a first date, or during a presentation to colleagues, you should know your strengths and have the ability to confidently (but not arrogantly) share them in the manner that suits you best. That said, we understand that this is not something everyone will execute with ease.

In some situations, we recommend selling your partners. What better way to generate business without having to give your own pitch or talk about yourself?  Selling your partners will also reflect favorably on you.  Share what you’ve learned from them, how they differ from their competitors, how they uniquely and honestly serve their clients, and more.  This can be your chance to tell their story and how they have impacted you, clients, other colleagues, and the firm as a whole.
