The firm also added several new  practice groups and developed a national reputation in a number of practice areas; most notable: defense of class action litigation lawsuits for pharmaceutical companies and the protection of Intellectual property.

Jim speaks frequently about law firm issues for organizations that have included the Law Firm Leadership Summit, the Law Firm Leadership Conference, as well as continuing legal education programs. He has been profiled in the Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer and is often called to comment upon trends in the legal marketplace. Currently, he is a fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar and is a member of the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.
