Paul E. Clifford quoted on law firm “merger mania” in Boston Business Journal

Merger mania expected to reshape legal landscape” February 24 Boston Business Journal article, quoted Paul E. Clifford on the prospects for law firm mergers in 2012.

From the article:

“At least one local watcher is skeptical that there will be a huge uptick in mergers, which tend to be expensive, as law firms are still getting on their feet financially post-recession. ‘I think firms are still putting themselves together after the recession,’ said Paul Clifford, principal at law Practice Consultants LLC. ‘There’s been some solid performances (in terms of revenue) but many haven’t hit the ball out of the park. Mergers are costly both in terms of time and money.’”
