Located at the Jupiter Inlet Marina, hard by Florida’s famous Route A1A, U-Tiki Beach is the picture-perfect waterfront hangout. Swaying palm trees, lapping waves, and a postcard view of the marina and lighthouse create a great backdrop for some outstanding food and interesting “people watching.”
We stopped in for dinner and were lucky enough to avoid a long wait. However, if you do encounter a crowd you can pass the time aboard a relaxing 30-minute Conch Cruise for just $10 per person. Feel free to bring your cocktails along for the ride.
We started off with sushi and “bang bang” BBQ shrimp, with some crispy calamari thrown into the mix. For our main course we shared a serving of sweet potato crusted “hogfish” snapper with mango salsa – a house specialty. Delicious. We ended the evening lingering over coffee and enjoying the flashing of the Jupiter lighthouse and activity at the marina.
U-Tiki Beach seems like the kind of place where Jimmy Buffet would hang out to chill without even being pestered by the other patrons, who are too busy enjoying the food and view to ask for an autograph.
U-Tiki Beach has a more “formal” sister restaurant – Jetty’s – which is right next door. Look for a review of this waterfront dining spot soon.
