“’Profits per partner is so easy to manipulate because if you have fewer partners, then profits per partner can go up over the prior year,” said Paul Clifford, a principal at Boston-based Law Practice Consultants LLC. “(Profits per partner) are really not as meaningful as revenue per lawyer.’”
