“Experts don’t expect any one practice area to dramatically pick up the pace this year, which would be necessary to see a big boost at law firms. Indeed, real estate is still extremely slow, although litigation has begun to pick up and there is hope that M&A activity will see an uptick, according to Paul Clifford, a principal at Law Practice Consultants LLC in Boston. ‘I don’t see anything leading the firms out of the wilderness for the rest of 2010,’ said Clifford.”
